Issues of further development of Uzbek-Russian relations of strategic partnership and alliance were discussed during a telephone conversation between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, held on August 9.
Special attention was paid to the further expansion of trade and economic cooperation and the continuation of active humanitarian exchange.
The leaders of the two countries also reviewed the schedule of upcoming events and called for holding the next meeting of the joint Intergovernmental commission, Uzbek-Russian interregional, educational and media forums in the near future.
The sides exchanged views on regional cooperation.
