Information about construction projects is provided

The Head of State was informed about the progress of construction projects in the city of Tashkent.

In recent years, large-scale construction has been launched in our capital. Many houses, business centers, enterprises and recreation places have been built. Taking into account the further processes of urbanization, large construction projects are now being implemented outside the city.

The Olympic Town and New Tashkent are among the most important projects.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev laid the foundation stone of the Olympic Campus on November 9 last year. This facility will occupy 100 hectares, include an athletics and football stadium with 10,000 seats, 6 indoor and 7 outdoor sports facilities, a water sports palace, a cycling track, complexes for martial arts and team sports. In 2025, the Asian and Para-Asian Youth Games will be held here.

The project is being implemented jointly with the Chinese company “CAMC Engineering”, which has experience in the construction of sports facilities in 70 countries around the world. More than a thousand workers and engineers, advanced equipment are involved in construction work. To date, the foundation works of 7 main buildings have been fully completed. The following stages of construction are actively continuing.

Another city is planned to be built near the town - New Tashkent. Its first stone was laid by the head of state on March 18 of this year. The first stage of the project provides for the construction of multi-storey houses for 60 thousand residents, administrative buildings of government departments, parks, social and economic facilities.

The presentation provides information about the preparatory work being carried out. Currently, the Directorate for the design and coordination of the construction of the city has been formed. The boundaries of the city are marked, their inventory is carried out together with the Cadastral Agency. Contracts have been concluded on various stages of infrastructure and architectural design with companies from Singapore, the UK, the Netherlands, Turkey and local entrepreneurs.

In particular, in the project developed by the Singapore company “Meinhardt group”, special attention is paid to the location of social facilities, transport communications and their connection with the capital.

The presentation also provided information about the interior architectural design of the Center of Islamic Civilization. The museum of the center will reflect the scientific heritage of our ancestors-thinkers, the atmosphere of the historical periods in which they lived.

The Head of State gave additional instructions on the timely and high-quality implementation of projects.
