The President of Uzbekistan met with the National Leader of the Turkmen people

Upon arrival in Ashgabat, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Topical issues of the bilateral agenda were discussed.

The dynamic development of the Uzbek-Turkmen multifaceted relations and the consistent deepening of the strategic partnership between the two countries were noted with satisfaction.

The expansion of practical cooperation in the fields of trade, industry, energy, agriculture and water management, transport and other priority areas was emphasized.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan also exchanged views on regional cooperation, reviewed the schedule of upcoming events.
