The President got acquainted with infrastructure projects in Tashkent

On July 20, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the creative work being carried out in Tashkent.

In recent years, high-rise structures have been erected in the Tashkent city complex. At the moment, a large shopping center is being built near the Pakhtakor metro station.

The Head of our state examined the conditions for the movement of pedestrians and cars here. Considering that traffic will only increase in the future, the need for the construction of an overpass at the intersection of Botira Zokirov and Navoi streets, improving traffic comfort, was emphasized.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also visited Navoi, Oybek, and Nukus streets, got acquainted with the state of the street infrastructure, and talked with people.

Then the Head of state inspected the construction of another important facility — an overpass near the Tashkent International Airport. In order to increase convenience and increase capacity, the bridge will be expanded by the construction of an additional platform. Its length will be 650 meters, width - 30 meters. Arrivals and exits will eliminate the need for a U-turn and facilitate the use of the interchange.

The President inspected the construction process, pointed out the need for landscaping of the adjacent territory, planting ornamental trees.

Today, active creative work is being carried out in the Yashnabad district of the capital. In this regard, green zones are of urgent importance. So, between Abdullah Kadiri Street and the Small Ring Road there is an Elbek Park. The Head of our state gave instructions on the preservation of this park and the expansion of conditions for recreation of the population.

The construction of the Tashkent-Vostochny airport was also visited.

The total area of the airport will be 693 hectares. According to the project, it will have a 4-kilometer runway, modern terminals, hangars and aprons. The airport will be equipped with modern radio engineering and meteorological equipment of the ICAO III-A class, providing take-off and landing even in difficult weather conditions.

Today, a runway and a VIP terminal building have been erected here. The President inspected these facilities, gave instructions on financing the next stages of construction, reviewing the appearance of the terminal and the conditions for receiving delegations.
