The President of Uzbekistan committed Umrah

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is in Saudi Arabia on his first foreign visit after being elected to the post of head of state, visited the main shrine of Islam – the city of Mecca.

July 19 – on the first day of the month of Muharram of the new 1445 Hijri, the head of our state dressed in a special ihram robe and performed Umrah rites. The leader of our country was given a great honor to enter the sacred Kaaba and read the prayer in it.

In accordance with the arcana of Islam, Shavkat Mirziyoyev performed tawaf seven times, that is, circumambulation around the Kaaba, as well as seven walks between the Safa and Marva hills. Duas were read with a request for the prosperity of our Motherland, peace and well-being of our people, happiness and a bright future for all our compatriots and the younger generation.

It should be noted that it was today that the ceremony of changing the kiswa, the traditional veil of the Kaaba, took place.
