The President of Iran sincerely congratulated the leader of Uzbekistan on his election victory

A telephone conversation took place between President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ibrahim Raisi.

At the beginning of the conversation, the head of Iran sincerely congratulated the leader of our country on a convincing victory in the early presidential elections in Uzbekistan held on the eve of the election.

The Iranian President also conveyed congratulations and greetings from the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei.

The issues of practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level following the results of the official visit to Iran in June this year were considered.

It was noted with satisfaction that the parties have started the practical implementation of industrial cooperation projects in accordance with the adopted Roadmap.

The importance of continuing intensive contacts, including at the level of business circles and regional administrations of the two countries, was emphasized.

The sides also exchanged views on issues on the regional agenda, including cooperation within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Economic Cooperation Organization.
