The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan discussed issues of further expansion of multifaceted cooperation

Issues of further deepening of Uzbek-Turkmen strategic partnership relations and expansion of multifaceted cooperation were discussed during a telephone conversation between President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The President of Turkmenistan sincerely congratulated the Head of our State on his confident victory in the early presidential elections of Uzbekistan held on the eve.

The continued active contacts at all levels were noted with satisfaction. Since the beginning of the year, meetings of intergovernmental commissions, political consultations, meetings of ministers of transport, energy and culture have been successfully held.

Trade turnover is growing at a steady pace. Important humanitarian programs aimed at bringing the two fraternal peoples closer are being implemented.

The heads of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan noted the importance of building comprehensive cooperation and promoting practical cooperation projects.
