The leaders of Uzbekistan and Egypt noted the importance of full-scale implementation of the agreements reached

On June 28, during a telephone conversation, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdelfattah al-Sisi exchanged warm congratulations on the occasion of the holy holiday of Kurban Hayit for the entire Muslim Ummah. Sincere wishes of peace, well-being and prosperity were expressed to the friendly peoples of Uzbekistan and Egypt.

Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the official high-level visit to Cairo in February this year.

It was emphasized that thanks to regular and productive contacts, the Uzbek-Egyptian relations of comprehensive cooperation are filled with concrete content.

The issues of taking effective measures to increase the volume of trade turnover, promotion of joint investment projects and industrial cooperation programs with the participation of leading companies of the two countries were considered.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Egypt also called for further intensification of cultural and humanitarian exchange.

Topical issues of the international and regional agenda were discussed.
