The President of Uzbekistan held a telephone conversation with the President of Kazakhstan

On June 12, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

At the beginning of the conversation, the head of our state expressed deep condolences and words of support to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the fraternal people of Kazakhstan in connection with the human victims as a result of a forest fire in the territory of the Abai region. The readiness to provide all necessary assistance in the fight against a natural disaster and the elimination of its consequences was noted.

The Presidents of the two countries also discussed topical issues of further strengthening of Uzbek-Kazakh relations of good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance.

Particular attention is paid to accelerating the practical implementation of cooperation projects in the fields of trade, industry, energy, transport, agriculture
and other sectors of the economy.

The sides exchanged views on the regional agenda.
