At the end of the high-level talks, in the presence of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, a signing ceremony was held for 15 bilateral documents aimed at further development and deepening of trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres of cooperation.
In particular, adopted:
– Agreement between Governments on mutual promotion and Protection of Investments;
– Agreement between the Governments on the avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Tax Evasion on Income and Property;
– Agreement between Governments on mutual assistance in Customs Matters;
– Agreement between the Governments on cooperation in the field of labor relations;
– Agreement between Governments on exemption from visa requirements of holders of diplomatic passports;
– Memorandum between the governments on cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research;
– Memorandum between the Governments on cooperation in the field of culture;
– Memorandum on Trade Cooperation;
– Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of agriculture and food security;
– Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of plant protection and quarantine;
– Memorandum of cooperation in the field of sports and youth support;
– Memorandum of cooperation between the city of Tashkent and the city of Doha.
They also signed cooperation programs through the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice for 2023-2025, as well as an agreement on the creation of a joint platform for financing priority investment projects.
