The Emir of Qatar will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will pay a state visit to our country on June 5-6.

In accordance with the program of the distinguished guest's stay, the main events will be held in the city of Samarkand.

During the upcoming high-level talks, issues of further development of the Uzbek-Qatari multifaceted relations will be considered. First of all, we are talking about the continuation of active political contacts and cultural and humanitarian exchange, the implementation of major investment projects in the fields of energy, gas chemical industry, agriculture, infrastructure, logistics, tourism and other industries.

The heads of state will also discuss topical issues of international politics and the regional agenda.

Following the meeting, a solid package of intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents is expected to be signed.

It should be noted that the visit of the Emir of the State of Qatar to our country will be the first in more than 25 years of diplomatic relations between the two states.
