The President of Uzbekistan congratulated the leader of Turkey on a convincing victory in the presidential election

On May 28, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during a telephone conversation, sincerely congratulated President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on a convincing, historic victory in the presidential elections held today.

It was emphasized that the high voter turnout and the results of the second round of voting testify to the convincing support of the friendly Turkish people for the policy and course of reforms of the current head of state.

During the conversation, topical issues of further deepening of Uzbek-Turkish relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and expansion of multifaceted cooperation were also discussed.

It was agreed to continue active contacts at all levels in order to prepare the agenda for the next meeting of the Council at the highest level.

The heads of State also exchanged views on international politics and regional cooperation.
