The President of Uzbekistan noted wide opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation with leading French companies

On May 5, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a French delegation headed by the co-chairman of the joint Intergovernmental Commission, Minister-Delegate for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness and Affairs of French citizens abroad Olivier Besht.

The issues of promoting and accelerating specific projects of trade, economic, investment and financial cooperation with the participation of leading French companies and organizations in our country were considered.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Olivier Besht conveyed warm greetings and a personal message from French President Emmanuel Macron.

The Head of our state noted with great satisfaction the productive results of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission held today in the morning in Tashkent, and the business mission of the Medef Movement to our country in April this year.

The progress on strategic projects implemented in the field of "green" energy, extractive industry, modernization of tourist infrastructure and utility networks, and other priority areas was emphasized.

The interest of French companies in the implementation of projects in the field of urban planning, transport, textile industry, production of new types of building materials is growing.

The Leader of Uzbekistan welcomed the plans to establish the Uzbek-French Chamber of Commerce and the introduction of an effective system to support business initiatives.
