One of the key principles of Uzbekistan's economic growth is the widespread and parallel regional development, based on a deep analysis of the socio-economic situation of the country’s regions, including the study of resource base, production, transport-logistics potential, and demand for various high-value-added products.

Social protection is the most important component of state policy

The Development Strategy of the New Uzbekistan sets the task of improving the country's position in the Global Innovation Index (GII) and inclusion in the top 50 countries of the rating by 2030. 

The CERR jointly with the Statistics Agency, assessed the level of monetary poverty in Uzbekistan. By the end of 2023, poverty in the country decreased by 3.1 percentage points. The experts explained how the poverty profile has changed and in which regions the incomes of the population have shown the greatest growth.

Tourism is one of the fastest growing industries in Uzbekistan. In recent years, the industry has been radically reformed, bans and restrictions have been lifted, a number of permit requirements have been canceled, preferential financing and tax incentives have been introduced. Thanks to these measures, private investments have become widely involved in the tourism sector – hotels are being built everywhere, guest houses are opening, no one is surprised by the halls of cafes and restaurants full of tourists.
