President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to China from August 30 to September 3 at the invitation of President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping.

Celebrations marking Independence Day were held in the capital's "Yangi Uzbekiston" park.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the road tunnel built on Yangi Uzbekistan street.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited “Yangi Uzbekiston” park and laid a wreath to the Monument of Independence. 

Living in an independent country, in an atmosphere of freedom and tranquility, we gratefully remember those who dreamed of these days and fought for them. Their sacrifices were not in vain: their memory is preserved in the hearts of the people and will be forever honored by future generations. This truth is symbolized by the Day of Remembrance for Victims of Repression, which is traditionally observed on the eve of Independence Day.

On August 28, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a Special Envoy of the President of the United States for global partnerships Paolo Zampolli, who’s currently in our country on a working visit.

On August 27, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the new airport built on the basis on “Tashkent – East” airfield.
