Nowadays, the priority tasks for the consistent socio-economic development of Uzbekistan are the widespread introduction of the ICT and digital technologies. Digital technologies - an effective tool that can provide high-quality reform of public administration, sectors of the economy and spheres of public life.

Cybersecurity is a broad concept that encompasses technologies, processes and policies that help prevent and/or mitigate the negative impact of events in cyberspace that may occur as a result of deliberate actions against information technology by a hostile or malicious entity. 

This article discusses aspects of the influence of information and communication technologies on political and social activity of citizens, analyzes the legal framework for regulating the activities of citizens and their social activity in cyberspace, and considers the consequences of illegal activity of users on the Internet.
