The right to life in the new Constitution is an integral right of every person, and it is being protected by law, the most serious crime of an attempt on human life is being strengthened. At the same time, the norm on the Prohibition of capital punishment is being introduced in Uzbekistan.

In a Message to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan on December 20, 2022, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev stressed: as a result of large-scale and effective reforms, the country's gross domestic product exceeded $80 billion for the first time. Eight billion dollars of foreign direct investment were attracted to our economy, and exports reached 19 billion dollars. Every day new directions and industries appear in the country's economy. 
 

"The deepening of interconnectedness with our neighbors is already underway and the continuation of this vector will make Uzbekistan stronger, and the Central Asian region more stable and stable," Sherzod Fayziev, head of the Department of the International Institute of Central Asia (MICA), concludes. 
 

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation on the concept of the New Tashkent city project and construction sites in the capital.

It should be recognized that the number of norms contained in the Constitution concerning human rights and the duties of the State in the social sphere is increasing two to three times. The allocation of norms as separate parts of the Constitution in the new edition indicates that special attention is paid to improving their content, which increases the obligations and guarantees of the state to citizens, their rights and freedoms are strengthened.
 

Prospects for the implementation of specific projects and programs in the field of high technologies, artificial intelligence, digitalization, modernization of urban infrastructure, disclosure of trade and investment potential of regions and other issues were discussed during the meeting of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with a delegation of the United Arab Emirates headed by the Minister of Government Affairs Muhammad bin Abdullah al-Gergawi, held on 4 April.
