President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the Governor of Lombardy Attilio Fontana in Milan as part of the events of the second day of his official visit to Italy.

On the other hand, the promotion of active citizenship through participation in elections is evidence of the growth of our people’s political thinking, social activity and electoral culture.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is making an official visit to Italy, arrived from Rome to Milan.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) within the framework of the events of the first day of his official visit to Italy and held a meeting with its Director General Qu Dongyu.

Following the talks, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic Giorgia Meloni adopted a joint declaration on the establishment of strategic partnership relations between the two countries.

In accordance with the program of official events in Rome, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Italy Giorgia Meloni at the Chigi Palace.

On June 8, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella held talks at the Quirinal Palace in Rome.

Today, on June 8, the official welcoming ceremony of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is making an official visit to this country, took place at the residence of the President of the Italian Republic – the Quirinal Palace in Rome.

The participation of international organizations and foreign observers in elections is essential for the open and transparent conduct of democratic elections. At the same time, international election observation helps ensure the implementation of citizens' electoral rights, promotes bilateral exchange of knowledge and information on the practice of the electoral process, and serves as a basis for building strong international relations.
