The result of ensuring the fulfillment of the priority tasks outlined in the Presidential Decree "On approval of the Strategy of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019-2021" was the recognition of its economic development. For the first time in 2020, the republic ranked 93rd in the Global Innovation Index - the only one of the Central Asian countries.
