In the functioning of the Judiciary as a separate independent branch of power, it is important that the guarantees of its independence are established at the level of law. Consequently, the main purpose of enshrining in the Constitution the norms ensuring the independence of the Judiciary is to practically guarantee the right of citizens to justice, to ensure the rule of law and justice in society.

For more than five years in Uzbekistan there has been an institution of the Commissioner under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of business entities (Business Ombudsman).
