At the invitation of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to this country on October 5-7.

The transport and logistics potential of Central Asia has always played a significant role in ensuring the development and well-being of the countries of the region. This caravan road contributed to the development of cities, ensuring interethnic, interstate economic, cultural and spiritual relations in the region.  

The 25th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is scheduled for October 16-20 this year in Samarkand. For the first time in history, Uzbekistan will host this important biennial gathering of member states and affiliate members of UNWTO.

A major event awaits the cultural life of the capital - the Tashkent International Film Festival "Pearl of the Silk Road", revived on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The event will be held in Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkand from September 29 to October 2. 

From September 16 to 20, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the activities of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly. On September 19, the head of our state delivered a speech during the general debate of the plenary session of the General Assembly, in which he presented his vision on pertinent regional and global agenda items.

Surkhandarya is one of the most desirable routes for tourists, especially foreign ones, primarily due to the rapidly strengthening infrastructure and numerous fascinating routes combined with modern service and comfortable conditions. This was facilitated by creative work aimed at improving people's living conditions, ensuring their employment, especially in rural areas. 

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has completed his state visit to Qatar.

As part of the program of the state visit to Qatar, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the opening ceremony of the World Exhibition "EXPO Doha – 2023".

On October 2, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, former Prime Minister of the State of Qatar, founder of a number of large investment and industrial holdings of the country, at his residence in Doha.

Following the talks between President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, a signing ceremony of bilateral documents was held.
